Untethered Heart

The richness of our existence and freedom of expression in the world is shaped by our openness to be fully ‘seen’. To walk in this journey with an open heart cultivates intimacy with others and Life. In that space, the exquisite beauty and tune of your spirit can shine through your Being.

We, as humans have this notion that we need to protect our hearts, and it’s a very real sensation if we were hurt in the past. Most of us carry wounds and hurts that unless addressed can truly form a gate between our Heart and Life. The idea that we protect ourselves from a possibility of pain may be true, yet we end up caging our own hearts, and Love has no way to enter deeply into your Being. Love feeds on openness and trust. Our existence here is diminished by a fearful heart. We can only partially ‘be seen’, deeply feel and be utterly Alive with a shackled Heart. Our protection mechanism can become our jail and only we have the key and the ability to open the cellar.

So how can we remain with an open Heart as its expression is our greatest gift? Within my own journey of healing I pondered upon the reasons I close down. It’s almost an automatic mechanism that is built-in within us when hurt strikes. I wondered whether I can remain open hearted, particularly in a painful situation. The Universe delivered the opportunity to examine my notion.
A few years ago, when going through a challenging life-event, I promised myself to remain heart centred, open and kind regardless of anything. Sitting with the emotions that flooded me and feeling raw, I went through my healing process with effort and unwavering resolve and was able to honour the pledge I took. At the end of a challenging period my compassion and heart expanded and a sense of tender fortitude remained in my Being. I was grateful for the Grace the Universe showed me.
We have a tendency to walk in the world with a partial heart. Wearing masks endorsed by fears we carry limits our Aliveness and requires a lot of energy that can drain your Being. While living through a facade, a sense of isolation grows within us. Notwithstanding discernment and healthy boundaries where appropriate, distancing, closing down and escaping in various ways are to our detriment. Our spirit becomes constrained and hampered and the vastness of our humanness has little space to thrive. Welcoming people fearlessly into our heart creates a milieu for intimate connections and cultivates an environment for others to express themselves more genuinely, providing they are ready and willing. In an open-hearted interaction, a sense of belonging and inter-connectedness emerges.
Although not without challenges, it’s a courageous way to walk through life, rendering you vulnerable and exposed, as you refrain from hiding or sleep-walking through this precious journey. The other alternative is to cut yourself off from that which we all yearn to deeply experience; Acceptance, Intimacy, Love and genuinely to be Seen by others with the full spectrum of our Being. It’s a nourishing ground to live upon. A way of existence that is enriching, equally strong as it’s gentle and profoundly humane. Through my exploration with this paradigm of existence, I found Grace  to inhabit this space.
When you are choosing to Be in the world with an open heart, magic emerges in glorious forms. Our Heart’s nature is to be generously and intimately expressed. It’s Eternal and knows no fears, boundaries or limitations. You may begin to connect with fellow humans in a way that uplifts people’s spirit and cultivate a sense of belonging. Many are living with a great sense of isolation, and loneliness has reached an epidemic proportion. We are here to relate intimately and when we open to the vastness of our hearts Life takes brighter shades and our Divinity shines through.
May you discover a way to live with a fearless heart and May you allow yourself to fully express your exquisite uniqueness.

Way of Being

Life can be an illuminating journey. As we move through the years of our being, our perceptions take form and are based on our interpretations of events in our lives. Our life takes colours and shades according to the filters that were established by our experiences, thus we live through encoded view rather than see life as it unfolds moment to moment.

During our formative years we begin an intricate construction of filters into our spectacles. We start categorizing our diverse life experiences in like-boxes that are infused with wide spectrum of emotional waters. Depending on the event, some may cause deep wounds and shadow material. What defines you in life is not shaped by your life events; challenging or pleasant, but rather what you choose to do with your experiences and how you allow them to shape your existence and way of being. Through development of awareness you can learn what moves you in the world, what is underneath the way of your being. We are not an android, yet we function through a mechanism that is shaped by previous events, thus in essence we don’t experience life as it transpires.
If your way of being ceases to fulfill your heart, if you feel that your life is fashioned by a stranger, if you have a sense that you are operating on an old program and beliefs that may be obsolete to the person you are becoming; you can probe into your psyche and explore what lies in the bottom of your subconscious – this is your spirit’s goldmine.

How we choose to view our experiences and how we let them shape us in life is unique to each person. If you had a challenging life-altering event, it has likely affected you deeply and thus influenced your way of being. If you decide to unearth the wounds that formed within you through this experience and transmute them, you generate a possibility to re-claim your inner power and in that space you are able to re-define your way of being as you wish from that moment. The event still happened and you were affected by it, however it ceases to affect your way of being in the world and you re-claim your freedom to be as you truly are, regardless anything that happened to you. I would like to reiterate that whatever may be the event, however painful it may have been, your view of it and even forgiveness, does not absolve the event nor the responsibility from the person that have wronged you. Your change of perception and forgiveness work are for the purpose of freeing your spirit and allowing you to release the power the event has had over your existence. In that way you transmute what has been a dis-empowering event. Only you can decide to re-claim your personal power and define your way of being and what you wish to create for yourself from that vantage point.

This precious journey is arduous and abundant with twists and turns. You can examine your disposition, perceptions, beliefs and principles if they don’t permit contentment and inner peace. You may decide to unveil the story you have been reciting and re-write your script if your current one is incongruent with your present philosophy and aspirations. Through this process of illuminating our deep currents and purifying our wounds, we are able to unveil the beauty of our spirit and sing the tune of our heart with True sense of freedom.

May you be blessed in the journey you choose, May you have courage to listen to the calling of your spirit to be free, and May you find balance of strength and compassion to go through the changes and unveil the beauty of your Being.

Being

The year 2012 is upon us and it promises to be a transformational year.

As events in my days develop I have been pondering the idea of impermanence, choices, my way of being and purposeful living. When I awake each day I ask to be patient, to be kind and generous, to be compassionate and loving and to have the strength and wisdom to go through the changes necessary for my evolution. Last, I ask the Universe to guide humanity to the heart of our truth and authentic Being-ness.

Changes are the norm of our times in humans' history. I have been pondering why we were created with such resistance to change and such a fondness to remain within our comfort zone, when change is the only way to progress and create greatness.
A simple observation at humanity’s past demonstrates that history is shaped by people that avoid ‘following the grain’ and embrace the outer periphery of that which is known. Genius is fashioned through curiosity, wonder and breaking conventionality yet as humans we have a tendency to shy from the mysterious and accept incontestably the custom model. What happened within our evolutionary path that provided the ground to that inclination? We are far from the need to engage in existential matters as a center point to our survival, at least the more fortunate ones of us. We have a tendency to focus on the tangible and neglect magic when the most precious contributions and gifts to humanity are shaped through connection to that which is not wholly understood and cannot be neatly classified. Why is it that we have this constant need to categorize and analyze everything, we even tend to do that with matters of the heart.  Do we think this is safety when in truth this shackles our spirit? We place a high value on education and action when truly we ache to Live through Spirit and find balance between all the parts of our being-ness.
In truth, through a deep connection to spirit, we find lightness of being and all the answers to everything we’ll ever need and/or want seems to flow into our consciousness and nourishes our body and soul.
Are we ready to embrace mystery like never before within our evolutionary path? I believe the scales are tipping to that point and resistance is futile. I understand that is my view and it is shaped by my experience - I have seen what surrender allows to come forth and the miracles that emerge in this space of co-creation.

Through my experience in this amazing journey called Life I have noticed that when I am grounded and heart centered, when I trust and love unconditionally, when I avoid strict forms and structures and let go of the need to control or know, when my intent is utterly free from attachment, when I allow my spirit to guide the way – magic has space to appear in synchronicities I could never fathom.
We are spirits having a human experience. I enjoy observing the fine line between these realms we walk here on earth. I know when I am being more human and when I live through spirit by the way that I Feel - Life seems brighter when I am re-connected to Spirit. I learned to be gentle with my shortcomings and laugh at being all too human at times. I have learned that compassionate heart and forgiveness healed me through the years and I have seen it heals other wounded souls.

So if you’d like - this is an invitation for you to embrace the mystery, dream wildly, live and love with an open generous heart, and re-connect to your spirit – it is where magic Lives. Resist the urge to analyze everything and surrender the need to know how it all fits into your Life in the grand scheme. Know that changes are the strongest currents of our times and if you can allow the river to flow you may discover freedom and soar higher than you could ever plan.
Re-member you have the choice and resilience to discover the rhythm of your eternal spirit through your heart and evolve into being the magic Being you already are.

Awakening

As of late, the divine gesture arrived at my path in forms and shades I was not expecting. It’s easy to lose sense of equilibrium when trying times strike our heart. I made a decision long ago that if anything tremors my heart I have a lesson to learn, and an opportunity to heal a piece of my soul. Of course, I have to go through the emotions first before healing what has just come to the surface.

With the grace the universe bestowed upon me, I pondered my perceptions. As humans, we go through life experiencing events through our exclusive perceptions. Each is operating from a vantage point we are at, in a specific moment within this incredible journey, selecting twists and turns through our present level of consciousness and in accordance with whom we believe we are at a particular intersection.

Through my interactions, it became clear to me that dictionary definition is simply that. We each assign our own meaning to words, based on our experiences, views and the level of internal unity within body, mind, heart and spirit, at that moment in time. When someone communicates with you, they do so through their own aura, views and definitions, and it may very likely be different than your own concepts. Neither wrong nor bad, simply their own way of seeing. That understanding may help in accepting others as they are within their constructed reality.

Each of us grows in our own unique way. Again, there is neither wrong nor right. We come into this life with free will and choice between high and low road; each choice carrying us to a specific consequence. It is in my belief that the universe conspires to assist us within our soul journey. I believe that the universe choreographs events that offer us opportunities to expand and evolve into our True Being, providing us at all times junctions that lead to the high road and our souls evolution and healing.

Notwithstanding this challenging period, I am grateful as I feel I’ve grown and learned more about mySelf and my way of being in the world. I sense these trials were there to show me; where can I grow further, how do I choose to face them, and how am I living my essence. At the end of this wonderful process I shifted my perceptions and grew more compassionate and accepting others more-so where they are within their journey.

Universe, I am grateful for my relentless desire to live through my True Self and Be the highest expression of the Being that you have brought through this vessel I’m living within in this lifetime. I am thankful for the tender heart you have given me; the heart that even in the midst of a storm and the darkest of episodes yearns to eternally extend compassion, Love profoundly and find a way back to equilibrium.

Our Universal Dance

As I ponder our phenomenal universe I reflect upon this remarkable journey we live. Being content with precisely how life is, at this precious moment. Allowing for the path to unveil; with no need for control, not pushing the river or being attached to any particular outcome. Knowing, that what may come, will contain the perfect message for that moment. There is a deep knowing within my heart that a new era is upon us, and everything is moving in perfect harmony. A profound sense of serenity is within me in this space.

As a collective we are living in enormously transformational period within our history. It can be challenging at times, as we need to find our footing within the ground that keeps shifting. We are soaring on an evolutionary high; life, and the universe as we know it, no longer exists. Time has accelerated, and change is in such a predominant rate, that we may feel out of sorts at times. Once we accept that a grander scheme is taking place and life is infused with a profound purpose, a sense of peace begins to sip through.

There is a myriad of planetary shifts, some that are occurring for the first time in 600 years. We are all inter-connected, and affected by, this magnetic field. We may have difficulty in comprehending our role within this dance, yet we are engaged in a co-creation waltz with the universe. As humans, what we focus on in this phase of our evolution is of utter importance, as our creation faculty is in an unprecedented high. Once we consider that we are shaping our world with each of our thought, action and deed, we may begin to realize how intrinsically powerful we truly are, and contemplate the vital part we play within this creation. From this vantage point, recognizing life’s magnitude and our ethereal capacity, one may ponder how they choose to engage within this fascinating journey.

In these times, offer compassion whenever you can, for yourself and others, as many are experiencing twists and turns within their path. Consider that when you extend kindness to another, it is reciprocated. When you open your heart and center your humanness in genuine compassion you change the world around and within you and create more beauty than you can imagine.

May you Dance in the beauty you are

Surrender

Surrendering to the mystery of life is uneasy for us earthlings. We are preconditioned to plan and view life through linear spectacles. Yet, if you ponder upon your history, and what happened according to well constructed plans, you may be perplexed. Defining moments and turning points within your life, pleasant or not, seem to take place randomly. Were your biggest revelations, leaps of faith and moments of euphoria planned? Life, in the grand scheme, is paradoxically far simpler.

We are taught to plan yet our freedom lays in our faith in the mystery of the unfolding journey. We are told to focus on our future, yet the only period we live-in is within this particle of time. We are trained to plan goals, yet the gold cannot be found in the goal but rather in the passage of achieving it. It is through the course of our journey that we discover, expand, and become that which we truly are. The destination is just a mere point at the end of this miraculous journey.

We are conditioned to believe that if we plan and organize our life we gain control, when in reality control is an illusionary concept. Truth is one never knows what the next moment may bring. We can, however, focus our intentions, actions, thoughts and deeds, on that which we wish to form in our life, and co-create the world. In my belief, if you add the highest good of all to that creation, you receive the blessings of the universe. Another piece of this way of co-creating is to let go of attachment to outcomes. You see, attachment is based on control and knowing. It has nothing to do with surrendering to the mysteries of Life. Attachment is limited within the confines of the outcome that one may choose to hold onto. What if Life has a grander outcome in mind for you than you cannot fathom? Would you rather block it, or leave your field open to receive that which is ready to come into your path? It is through surrender that you open yourself for exquisite possibilities and find sheer freedom. It is at the edge of everything that you have come to know that you can discover your most precious treasure.

May you dance gracefully through your journey and soar higher than you can imagine. Namaste!

Precious Life

As humans, we may have placed borders upon this earth and we may choose to focus on our differences. Yet, in truth, we are intimately interrelated. When a tragedy hits a nation the starkness of our interconnect-ness is glaring at us; radiation may affect the air we breathe, the water we need for our survival, and the affects are far more expensive than we wish to accept or willing to admit. We are all in this field, and inhabit one Universe; it seems we are not as separated as we brought ourselves to believe and maybe it's time to consider Unity as a way of life.

How would you choose to live if this was your last day? I don’t mean to sound morbid nor depressing; on the contrary, my point is to ponder upon living purposefully. In your life, do you tend to focus on the impermanent, or do you focus on what truly matters and precious to your heart? Do you tend to forgive, or do you hold differences in the front of your mind? Is it that important to be right, and who decided what is wrong or right? Does it really matter that you have a different opinion, or would you rather enjoy the connection you have with that person? Does it matter if you give more, or even keeping a tab on how much you give? Do you tell the people you love how they touched your heart and how much they mean to you? When was the last time you extended a small gesture that you know could light someone’s heart? Do you take the time to be aware and enjoy the little wonders that are all around you? Do you truly listen when a friend needs a shoulder? Is the program you watch more important than having an intimate conversation with your spouse, friend, or family? Is there anyone in your life you might wish to forgive or apologize to? Is there anything you always wanted to get to but never found the time? Do you live hoping that tomorrow will be better? Are those last 'x' pounds holding you back from embracing yourself right now? Is that 'x.y.z' really is what’s going to make you happy? Is there a friend or a co-worker in your life that can use a helping hand? Do you remember to be grateful? Do you take the time to listen to your soul? Do you take time to do what sustains your heart? Do you remember to nurture your inner child? Are there fears that have been roaming in the bottom of your soul, that maybe it’s time to release? What would make your heart sing? If this was your last day how would you live it?

As humans we come here with free will and infinite capacity to co-create our world. I believe that life speaks to us through events that contain hidden messages we can observe and decipher. My hope is that you choose to live this precious moment with grace and love. May you choose to discover what's most precious to you and what nurtures your spirit; and hold these tenderly within your heart TODAY and throughout your life.
